A tense few hours on a horrible day. <br /><br />In my twenties, I have memories of walking through Holborn with broken glass all over the road from an IRA bomb and a policeman running out of a building and hurling me into an alley as another one was about to go off. <br /><br />I spent the morning in a coffee shop with my co-workers and we went back to work afterwards - We're Londoners - that's what we did. <br /><br />My parents lived and worked through the Blitz without pausing - and so it goes on - OMG I didn't mean this to be a short story!
